Baseball Recap: Pacific Ridge Firebirds vs. Castle Park Trojans

Pacific Ridge and Castle Park squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pacific Ridge had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 18-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Wednesday.

Pacific Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Fredericks, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Sawyer Sandvoll also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pacific Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Castle Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season.
