Football Recap: Carrizozo Comes Up Short

Carrizozo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Mountainair Mustangs 57-0. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 52-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carrizozo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mountainair, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrizozo will head out to challenge Floyd at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mountainair, they will venture away from home to take on Magdalena at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
