Football Game Preview: Giles County Bobcats vs. Cascade Champions

The Giles County Bobcats will head out to take on the Cascade Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Giles County, who comes in off a win.

Giles County took a loss when they played away from home on September 12th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Lincoln County by a score of 28-20. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Among those leading the charge was Xavier Randolph, who threw for 177 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and one TD. Those 40 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Giles County also got a significant boost from Pierson Collier, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Giles County's defense stepped up as well, laying out Maddox Franklin four times. Leading the way was Braylon Davis with two sacks.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Cascade's offense. They were dealt a 32-0 defeat at the hands of Sequatchie County last Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Champions were not able to get on the board.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Giles County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
