Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Find Success

On Friday, the Calvary Christian Knights were able to grind out a solid win over the Russell County Warriors, taking the game 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Calvary Christian's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nate Osborne, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Liam Hocutt, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

The win got Calvary Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Russell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Calvary Christian will take on Holtville at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Russell County, they will be playing at home against Columbus at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
