Southwest is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Washington County a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Southwest Patriots will be playing at home against the Washington County Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Southwest has given up an average of 29.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Southwest ended up a good deal behind Academy for Classical Education and lost 35-21. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly 14 points.

Despite the loss, Southwest had strong showings from Chase Dupree, who rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown, and Tkorian 'Drop' Davis, who rushed for 119 yards and one score. The Patriots are 2-1 when Davis posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Washington County earned a 26-14 win over East Laurens on Friday. The Golden Hawks haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Washington County, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
