Soccer Game Preview: Tallulah Falls vs. Lakeview Academy

The Tallulah Falls Indians will head out to face off against the Lakeview Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tallulah Falls has ten straight wins, Lakeview Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

While Tallulah Falls' victory against Athens Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians won by a goal and slipped past the Spartans 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Tallulah Falls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Athens Academy are ranked 255th).

Meanwhile, Lakeview Academy fell victim to George Walton Academy and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Tallulah Falls pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those five contests. As for Lakeview Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Tallulah Falls took their win against Lakeview Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
