Baseball Game Preview: Bureau Valley Storm vs. Putnam County Panthers

The Bureau Valley Storm will face off against the Putnam County Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Bureau Valley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hall just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Red Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Storm have suffered since April 30th.

Meanwhile, Putnam County got the win against Princeville on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Putnam County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Bureau Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
