Baseball Game Preview: Midway Raiders vs. Whiteville Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Midway will face off against Whiteville. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Midway is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Midway is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Whiteville get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Not much got past Tanner Williams, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Whiteville off the board. Williams has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carson Tew was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Whiteville moved to 18-7 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
