Baseball Game Preview: St. Patrick Shamrocks vs. Taft Eagles + Official Tickets

The St. Patrick Shamrocks will take on the Taft Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Taft took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Patrick, who comes in off a win.

St. Patrick will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Prospect on Saturday. The Shamrocks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-5 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Shamrocks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Taft came up short against Hampshire on Tuesday and fell 8-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Giuseppe Lampignano was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for St. Patrick, their win bumped their record up to 15-20.
