Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Hope Christian + How To Watch

The Santa Fe Demons will head out to take on the Hope Christian Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Santa Fe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Eldorado, who was ranked 17th at the time (Santa Fe was ranked 24th). The Demons fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for Santa Fe seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hope Christian). They blew past Valley 7-2 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Hope Christian needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Manu Garbarino led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Hope Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three matches. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Santa Fe beat Hope Christian by a goal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
