Papillion-LaVista won against Norfolk  on Thursday with 12  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. The Monarchs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Omaha Central Eagles  a   12-0 shutout. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six  runs or more this season.
 Kaylee Huffman was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Allison Dibelka was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Maizey Carpenter, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Papillion-LaVista was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .619. They are  a perfect 15-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win (which was Papillion-LaVista's third in a row) raised their record to 22-8. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Omaha Central,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Papillion-LaVista will host Lincoln North Star  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Navigators will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last. As for Omaha Central, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Mercy  at 4:30  p.m. The Monarchs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.96  runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
