Baseball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was the 7-2 winner over DuQuoin when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Indians by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Waterloo saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Luedeman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for DuQuoin, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Waterloo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Mater Dei on the 8th. As for DuQuoin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 16-1 win against Carmi-White County on the 9th.
