Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Palatine

While Palatine's victory against Buffalo Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Bison 12-11. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by just one run.

The win (which was Palatine's fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Buffalo Grove, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-19 record.

Coming up, Palatine will take on Niles West at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Buffalo Grove, they are taking a road trip to face off against Niles Notre Dame at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
