Baseball Recap: Parkview Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Parkview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Brookwood Broncos on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

Andres Jimenez tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Malachi Washington, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Joseph Mendez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Parkview's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Brookwood, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9.

Parkview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
