Texas high school football scoreboard: National No. 2 Westlake looks for third straight state title, but must get past Katy first in 6A-II semifinal

There are 20 UIL semifinal football games this weekend — running from Thursday through Saturday — as the high school football action ramps up. From 1A to 6A, fans of teams competing this week are gearing up for state-state dreams.

In the 6A-Division 2 semifinals, national No. 2 Westlake looks to punch its ticket to the big dance, but must first get past perennial power Katy. On the other side, the winner of Saturday's 11 a.m. tilt will face either Tomball or Guyer, who battle at 7 p.m.

In the 6A-Division 1 bracket, the four still standing include a surging Duncanville squad that takes on Southlake Carroll at 4 p.m. Saturday with the winner drawing either Lake Travis or North Shore.
