Baseball Recap: George Walton Academy Wins Going Away Against Stratford Academy

After only one run in their last matchup, George Walton Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Stratford Academy on Tuesday. The George Walton Academy Bulldogs were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Stratford Academy Eagles. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024.

Mason Thomason tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has become a key player for George Walton Academy: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-4 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braden Callaway, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Brock Lowe also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
