Baseball Recap: Colquitt County's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Valdosta last Friday, Colquitt County came back down to earth. The Packers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buchholz Bobcats on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 back in March.

With the loss, Colquitt County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-11. As for Buchholz, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0.

Colquitt County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Lee County on the 4th. As for Buchholz, they will head out to take on Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
