Basketball Recap: Maret Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Maret had won four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 3-0 to make it five. They came out on top against the Banneker Bulldogs by a score of 48-35. The Frogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

As for Banneker, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. The game marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Banneker still got an impressive performance from Jason Afeni, who posted 13 points. Ahlik Walker was another key player, putting up nine points.

Maret has already played their next contest, a 61-33 victory against Alexandria City on the 13th. As for Banneker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-49 win against Anacostia on the 12th.
