Football Recap: Kirtland Central Broncos vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils
Kirtland Central extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Espanola Valley Sundevils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 31-15 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Despite the loss, Kirtland Central still got an impressive performance from Chance Aspaas, who rushed for 110 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kayben Dowdy was Aspaas' top target, picking up 35 receiving yards, while also rushing for 48 yards and one score.
