Baseball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Comes Up Short

Genoa-Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Winnebago Indians. The Cogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Genoa-Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Winnebago, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Genoa-Kingston has already played their next matchup, a 15-11 loss against Rockford Christian on the 19th. As for Winnebago, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Fulton on the 20th.
