Softball Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

Aurora fell victim to Central City and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bison by a score of 1-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Huskies' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Josie Fink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Aurora now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Central City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Aurora will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Blue River at 6:30 p.m. As for Central City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pierce at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bison are facing the Bluejays at the right time seeing as the Bluejays are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
