Softball Recap: Ponderosa Comes Up Short at Home Against Pine Creek

Ponderosa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Pine Creek Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Avery Britt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Pine Creek has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Ponderosa will square off against Elizabeth at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Pine Creek, they will face off against Arapahoe at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
