Football Recap: Frontenac Extends Winning Streak to Three

Frontenac had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Parsons Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

When it comes to explaining why Parsons lost, don't look at Chandler Hentzen. Despite the final result, he rushed for 152 yards and one score. An impressive showing, but Hentzen really ramped things up playing D: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 21 total tackles.

Frontenac's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Parsons, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontenac will host Baxter Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Parsons, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neodesha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Streaks' defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
