Recap: Desert Scorpions vs. Mammoth Huskies

The Desert Scorpions stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Mammoth at home to the tune of 58-14. Given Desert's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while Mammoth is ranked 1177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Destiny Hart, who shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kloyee Baldwin, who scored 11 points along with five steals.

Desert is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Mammoth, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert will take on Rosamond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rosamond will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Desert surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mammoth, they will be playing at home against Immanuel Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immanuel Christian's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Mammoth's offense will have their work cut out for them.
