Baseball Game Preview: Duluth Wildcats vs. Heritage Patriots

The Duluth Wildcats will challenge the Heritage Patriots at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Duluth's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Northview with a sharp 7-0 win. That seven-run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage made easy work of Morrow on Tuesday and carried off a 14-3 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

James Frazier looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, William Bush was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Charner Lumpkin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Heritage back to even at 1-1. As for Duluth, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
