& FieldSophomore helped the Spartans claim
the team title at the Twin Valley South Fred Durkle Invitational by
winning two individual events (200 and 400) and anchoring two first
place relays (800 and 1,600). Broke the school record in the 400 as a
freshman when she also ran legs on VV’s state qualifying 800 relay and
state-placing (third) 1,600
relay.
* Grace Harris, Northeastern (Springfield)
SoftballSenior went 3-for-5 with three home runs,
seven RBI and four runs in a win over Fairlawn. Also went 2-for-2 with a
home run, five RBI and a run in a win over Mechanicsburg. Batting .441
with five home runs, 19 RBI, 15 hits and eight
runs.
* Kole Maxwell, St. Paul (Norwalk)
BaseballSenior struck out 20 of the 29 batters he
faced, walked two and allowed two hits in a 6-4 win over Western
Reserve. Earlier this season he struck out 13 in 2-1 loss to
Hopewell-Loudon and K’d 10-of-13 in an 18-1 win over New London. Has a
0.84 ERA and 43 Ks this season. Career totals are 185 Ks and a 1.62
ERA.

She struck out 10 in a five-inning PG against Garfield and K’d 12 in a five-inning no-hitter against Crestview. Went 7-for-7 with four home runs, seven runs and seven RBI in the two wins. Also went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple, two RBI and two runs in a 17-6 win over Crestview. Batting .733 with 25 runs, 24 BI and 11 HRs. Is 9-0 with a 0.61 ERA and 97 Ks in 46 innings.
* Mya Prochnow and Haley Gockstetter, Norwalk SoftballProchnow, a junior, was 9 for 11 (.818) with a double, two home runs, 4 RBI, 7 runs and 16 total bases in wins over Bellevue and Western Reserve. Her six-hit effort against Bellevue (five singles and a HR) makes her one of 49 players in OHSAA history to accomplish the feat. Gockstetter, a senior and Heidelberg University commit, recorded her 500th career strikeout in the win over Western Reserve. The tandem has helped the Truckers to within two wins of their first-ever league championship.
* Azure Travis, Woodmore Girls Track & FieldSenior won four events (100, 100H, 300H and 1,600 Relay) at the Gibsonburg Invitational en route to leading the Wildcats to the team title.
* Leland Beerman, Edgewood (Trenton) Boys LacrosseJunior had eight goals and an assist in a 15-5 win over Tippecanoe and six goals in an 11-10 loss to Maderia. Has 29 goals and eight assists this season.
* Ella Szalay, Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown) Girls LacrosseSenior had 11 goals and three assists in a 16-5 win over Louisville and seven goals and four assists in a 15-6 win over West Geauga. Has 47 goals and 14 assists this season.
* Abbie Marshall, Unioto (Chillicothe) SoftballSenior went 5-for-5 with four home runs, seven runs and nine RBI in a win over Washington Court House. * Lilly Schiefer, Seneca East Girls Track & FieldSenior and University of Findlay commit completed the rare distance
trifecta at the Fostoria Athletic Booster Invitational this past
weekend winning the 1600, 800 and 3200 meter runs
handily, while also anchoring her team's 800 relay team to third.

set the OHSAA D-I individual state tournament record and tie the overall
record at the girls golf state tournament on the Gray Course at The
Ohio State University. Hammond’s 136 (rounds of 67 and 69) matches the
136 (68-68)that Eaton’s Sarah Willis shot at the 2016 D-II state
tournament. The previous Division I state tournament record was set by
Katie Hallinan from Cincinnati Walnut Hills with a 137 (68 and 69) in
2017.

202 points this season (28 TDs and 17 2-point conversions).
* Olivia Heitkamp and Melina Schrader, New Bremen
VolleyballHeitkamp (senior) had 55 kills, and
Schrader (junior) had 86 assists, as the Cardinals defended their D-IV
state title with two four-set wins over Shenandoah and Tiffin Calvert in
the state semifinal and final, respectively. Heitkamp ends her career
with 1,147 kills, 387 digs and 258 blocks. Shrader has 2,352 assists,
478 kills, 232 aces and 528
digs.

(131), passing yards ( 124) and tackles (15) in a 32-15 loss to Kirtland

yards and three TDs as the Eagles beat Springfield, 31-21, for the third

over Tri-County North and had 29 points, including his team’s final 10,
in a 62-56 championship game win over Valley View. Averaging 23.4
points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

BasketballSenior had 36 points, 13 rebounds and
three assists in a 62-47 win over Chagrin Fallas and 39 points, eight
assists and five rebounds in an 81-76 loss to Avon Lake. Also had 22
points, seven rebounds and five assists in a 45-37 win over Rocky River.
Averaging 20.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

BasketballJunior scored a game-high 26 points as the
Firebirds rallied from an 11-point first quarter deficit to snap
Centerville’s 43-game GWOC win streak with a 62-52 win at CHS. Averaging

That’s the fourth highest tally in school history and the highest point
total since 1957 when Ohio State legend and five-time NBA champion Larry
Siegfried scored 60, 58 and 58 in a
game.

BasketballSenior broke two school records when he
hit 11 3-pointers en route to dropping 54 points in an 85-40 win over
Fairfield Christian. Shot 11-of-15 from 3.

Two-time state qualifier won his third straight Ron
Masanek Fairfield Invitational title with a dominating performance at
215 pounds. He won his four matches via pin in 0:51, 1:41, 0:53 and

player in program history (school’s first team was 1919-1920) to surpass

titles in two events at the prestigious Southwest Ohio Swimming
& Diving Classic. He won the boys 1,650-freestyle with a time of

Bellefontaine Iron Maiden Tournament. She went 4-0 and won 12-1 in the

points (and had 12 rebounds, eight assists and five steals) in a 73-44
win over Van Wert to become Putnam County’s all-time leading scorer in
boys basketball with 1,694 points (and

history to record 100 career wins with a victory in a dual versus Marion
Harding.

5-of-8 three-pointers, en route to dropping 43 points on Oakwood in an
87-70 win. Also had five rebounds and three assists. Followed that with

View. Since starting 7-5, the Blue Devils have won eight of their last
nine. Over that span, Wood has averaged 21.5 points. He’s averaging 18.6

program’s first state champion. Went 45-2 on the season.

HockeySenior had three assists in a 6-4 state
semifinal win over Toledo St. Francis and two goals in a 4-1 state final
win over University School. Finishes the season with 24 goals and 57
