Baseball Recap: Benton Rangers vs. Vienna Eagles

Benton took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Vienna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rangers skirted past the Eagles 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted against the Eagles since May 16, 2016.

Holden Skibo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Benton is 2-1 when Skibo allows one or fewer hits, but 11-15 otherwise. Skibo was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
