Football Recap: Dallas HSAA Falls to Tomball Christian Homeschool in First Game of Season

Dallas HSAA unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 34-14 to the Tomball Christian HomeSchool Warriors on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Angels of the 46-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Even if they lost, Dallas HSAA's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jordan Davis, Jase Reilly Rausa, and Brycen Miller-Crittendon, who each picked up one sack apiece. Davis got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Abraham, who rushed for 203 yards and one score while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Luke Harrison was in the mix too, providing the Warriors with two TDs.

Coming up, Dallas HSAA will head out to square off against Grapevine Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Boling at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
