Baseball Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

If Westlake was feeling good fresh off their 27-2 takedown of Langston Hughes last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westlake Lions lost 14-6 to the Locust Grove Wildcats on Saturday.

Naim Foster made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Langford, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Westlake will face off against Redan at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Locust Grove, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats face off against the Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
