MaxPreps Top 25 high school football scores: No. 20 Bixby wins 92-0 to improve to 7-0

There was one MaxPreps Top 25 team in action Thursday night and it made quite an impression. No. 20 Bixby (Okla.) rolled to a 92-0 victory over Enid aided by four defensive and special teams touchdowns.

Bixby (7-0) has scored 56 points or more in six consecutive games, including 81 two weeks ago. The Spartans ran just 33 offensive plays Thursday but Enid could muster just 21 yards and turned it over four times.

Things should get more challenging for Bixby in the coming weeks with games against Mustang (5-2) and Norman (5-1).

Looking ahead to Friday's games, there has been no shortage of drama in California's powerhouse Trinity League so far this season. No. 9 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) added another marquee win to its resume with a 7-6 win over No. 11 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) last week and now look to take down No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower). The Eagles also have a win over No. 5 Centennial (Corona).

Bosco has won 15 in a row dating back to 2011 against Santa Margarita. St. John Bosco improved to 7-0 last week and have won six of seven games by double digits. The lone one score game was a 21-14 win over No. 2 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore). 

One of the Michigan's fiercest rivalries renews Friday at Ford Field for the PSL title as No. 21 Cass Tech (Detroit) locks horns with King (Detroit). These two played earlier this season and the Technicians jumped out to a 20-0 lead and held on for a 27-22 win. 

No. 4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) welcomes NFL Academy of England to the United States for a Friday matchup. NFL Academy is coming off a 41-38 loss against No. 14 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.). Junior quarterback Viktor LaChambre had a huge game, accounting for 446 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. 

Matt Logan and aforementioned No. 5 Centennial have won 24 straight league games and 81 of the last 82 as they look to extend that streak against a 6-1 Murrieta Valley (Murrieta) squad. The Huskies have gone 7-0 against the Nighthawks during the MaxPreps era. 

No. 18 Basha (Chandler, Ariz.) is off to its best start since Demond Williams was a sophomore in 2021. The Bears look to improve to 7-0 on Friday against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson). Next week, Basha will be featured in the MaxPreps Game of the Week against Hamilton (Chandler) on Oct. 24.

Mater Dei headlines the three MaxPreps Top 25 teams that play Saturday as it looks to bounce back against Servite (Anaheim). The Monarchs have won 14 in a row dating back to 2011 against the Friars. 

No. 15 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) at Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) and No. 25 Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) at Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, N.J.) are the other two Saturday games.
