Softball Recap: Jeff Davis Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Jeff Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Effingham County Rebels. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Rebels when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jeff Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Effingham County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Jeff Davis is taking a road trip to take on Telfair County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Effingham County, they will welcome Statesboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
