Basketball Recap: Ballou Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ballou was the 60-55 winner over Banneker when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a hard 66-50 fall against the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Knights were down 52-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Banneker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Afeni, who posted 19 points. That's the most points Afeni has posted since back in December of 2024. Amari Thomas was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Ballou's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Banneker, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Ballou will square off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Banneker, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maret at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
