Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Latta's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

While Latta's victory against Howe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2020.

Latta has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Howe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

Latta has already played their next matchup (against Hobart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Howe, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Roff on the 20th.
