Skutt Catholic is 9-1 against Norris since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The SkyHawks will face off against the Titans at 2:00 p.m.

Skutt Catholic heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Beatrice by a score of 10-9. The SkyHawks' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Norris faced Ralston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Titans put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 9-1 win.

Reese Behrends made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Behrends was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Marlee Pavelka was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Kenzie Siebrandt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Norris always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ralston only posted an OBP of .333.

Norris is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Skutt Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-6.

Skutt Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Norris in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the SkyHawks repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
