Elbert County waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Washington-Wilkes Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Washington-Wilkes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elbert County will challenge Rabun County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington-Wilkes, they will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
