Softball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

After flying high against Holyoke last Thursday, Sterling came back down to earth. The Tigers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for University, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, Sterling will be taking part in a tournament against Wray/Yuma at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pueblo South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
