Football Game Preview: Triton Cobras vs. Lourdes Eagles + Official Tickets

The Triton Cobras will head out to face off against the Lourdes Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Triton's defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so Lourdes' offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Triton beat Dover-Eyota 28-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cobras.

Pierce Petersohn and Christian Valdez were among the main playmakers for Triton as the former threw for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes and the latter picked up 79 receiving yards and one TD. What's more, Petersohn posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lourdes, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Rushford-Peterson by a score of 28-20 on Friday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Triton's record is now 4-2. As for Lourdes, their record now sits at an identical 4-2.

Triton strolled past Lourdes in their previous matchup back in September of 2021 by a score of 23-8. Do the Cobras have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
