While Manteno's victory against Beecher wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers skirted past the Bobcats 6-5.

Gio Arrigo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Stevens, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Tyler Buehler was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and one run.

Manteno kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Manteno has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Beecher, they moved to 19-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Manteno will be playing at home against St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Beecher, they will head out on the road to take on Bradley-Bourbonnais at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
