No. 7 Bishop Gorman blanks Hamilton 45-0.

No. 11 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) and Northwestern (Miami) finally got a chance to settle it on the field after the game was moved from Thursday to Saturday because of lightning. The Lions dominated on Saturday afternoon cruising to a one-sided 42-14 win at Traz Powell Stadium. After a 7-7 first quarter the Lions scored the next 35 points and the Bulls added a late touchdown with a running clock.

Chaminade-Madonna takes on No. 13 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) next week on Sept. 16 in one of the biggest matchups of the season. The Patriots beat Glades Central (Belle Glade) 56-0 to improve to 4-0. They have outscored the opposition 192-61 this season.

In our MaxPreps Game of the Week No. 7 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) got its revenge against Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) with a dominant 45-0 win. The Gaels were up 38-0 at halftime and outgained the Huskies 418 to 40. Junior quarterback Micah Alejado threw four touchdowns with three going to Trech Kekahuna.

No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) cruised to a 49-0 win over Central Catholic (Portland) at Autzen Stadium. The Braves have outscored their first three opponents 143-21 and have put a running clock on all three opponents. They still have not trailed at any point during the season.

A big-time rivalry in South Florida was close for three-plus quarters as No. 4 Central (Miami) led Booker T. Washington (Miami) 22-19 with 9:42 remaining. The Rockets scored two touchdowns in a three-minute span to walk out with a 36-19 win to improve to 2-0. Jonathan Harris rushed for two scores while Keyone Jenkins threw for three touchdowns.

No. 10 North Shore (Houston) reeled off its 16th straight win with a 55-25 victory over Westfield (Houston) and this one had to feel extra special because Westfield was the last team to beat the Mustangs. The defending 6A Division 1 state champs scored seven first half touchdowns and led 48-11 at halftime.

No. 12 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) scored at least 50 points for the second consecutive game with a 63-13 road win at East (Salt Lake City). The Ascenders are off next week before a showdown against Central (Phenix City, Ala.) on Sept. 23.

Two MaxPreps Top 25 teams went down on Friday as Columbus (Miami) snapped No. 20 Jesuit's (Tampa, Fla.) 17-game win streak with a 32-15 win. Jesuit was up 15-7 in the second quarter but Sedrick Irvin Jr. and the Explorers scored the final 25 points.

A week after No. 25 East St. Louis (Ill.) joined the MaxPreps Top 25, they lost 10-8 against a very tough Creekside (Fairburn, Ga.) squad on the road. This makes room for two new teams to join next week's national rankings.

There were two games on Thursday and Jackson Arnold led No. 17 Guyer (Denton, Texas) to a 50-27 win over Lancaster. The five-star Oklahoma commit threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns to go with a rushing score. The Wildcats have scored at least 44 points in all three games and are winning by an average margin of 28.6 points per game.

No. 9 Westlake (Austin, Texas) won its 43rd straight game with a one-sided 56-6 win over Akins (Austin). The Chaparrals are idle next week before a huge showdown on Sept. 23 against rival Lake Travis (Austin).
