Texas has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mt. Pleasant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Texas will be playing at home against Mt. Pleasant at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Texas has four straight wins, Mt. Pleasant has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Texas had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Jacksonville on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Fightin' Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Texas won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mt. Pleasant took on Lufkin on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-15.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Texas, their win bumped their record up to 22-15.

Texas beat Mt. Pleasant 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will Texas repeat their success, or does Mt. Pleasant has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
