It was a good run, but Westlake unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Paideia Pythons by a score of 7-6. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pythons earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Paideia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paideia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Pythons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
