E Patton posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out four batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Patton and Fayette County will head out on the road to challenge Sandy Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
