Two dominant guards in Peyton Auler and Owen Garber are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tipton Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Lapel Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tipton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Tipton turned things around against Lewis Cass on Tuesday. They strolled past the Kings with points to spare, taking the game 51-35.

Tipton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Humrichous led the charge by putting up ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kellen Williams, who posted nine points.

Tipton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Lapel earned a 44-35 win over New Castle on Tuesday. The 44-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tipton's record is now 6-15. As for Lapel, their record now sits at 16-5.

Tipton couldn't quite get it done against Lapel in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 as they fell 52-45. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
