Baseball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs. If the Purple Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-6.

Looking ahead, Bloomington will face off against Pontiac at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mt. Zion at 6:30 p.m.
