Softball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Alameda's offense. They came up short against the Fort Lupton Bluedevils on Thursday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Alameda saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andi Padilla, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Padilla is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Fort Lupton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Coming up, Alameda will host Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Lupton, they will head out on the road to take on Boulder at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
