Boron fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Desert on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Scorpions. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kalista William had a dynamite game For Desert., as she made all 11 shots she took for 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which William has scored at least a third of the Scorpions' points. Chloe Kesler was another key player, putting up ten points.

Boron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Desert, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Boron will head out to challenge Bishop Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Bobcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Desert, they have already played their next contest, a 57-13 loss against Rosamond on the 10th.
