Castle View is 8-2 against Chaparral since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Sabercats will head out on the road to square off against the Wolverines at 3:00 p.m. Castle View has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Castle View fell victim to Ponderosa and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Sabercats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Castle View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaymee Vesque, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Chaparral had taken Regis Jesuit down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Wolverines lost 13-4 to the Raiders. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scarlett Hum made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Weber, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Castle View's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Castle View couldn't quite get it done against Chaparral in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 9-6. Can the Sabercats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
