Softball Recap: Alliance Takes a Loss

If Alliance was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Lexington on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 10-7 to the Chadron Cardinals on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Paige Jensen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Alivia Osborn was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chadron, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will face off against Southern Valley/Alma on Friday. As for Chadron, they will challenge Scottsbluff on Tuesday.
