There's no place like home for Pius X, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Lincoln Northeast Rockets with a sharp 12-2 win on Saturday. The Thunderbolts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Adee Duggan made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Pius X let Macy Charf and Erica Horne run wild. Charf went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Horne went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Katherine Hoefener was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Pius X always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pius X's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Lincoln Northeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pius X will welcome Wayne on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Thunderbolts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln Northeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bryan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
