Baseball Recap: Gillespie Beats Calhoun for Their Third Straight Win

Gillespie entered their tilt with Calhoun on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Warriors 13-11. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 11-7 loss.

Gillespie's win bumped their record up to 18-7-1. As for Calhoun, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Gillespie and Calhoun will both be playing Southwestern the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Piasa Birds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Miners will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
